Mr. Elio DE TULLIO – Managing Director, De Tullio & Partners, Italy - INSME Member Intellectual property rights are a crucial factor for intermediaries’ knowledge and SMEs’ competiveness and commercial expansion. Moreover, it will give intermediaries and SMEs the basic tools to recognise potentially protectable innovation, to evaluate the inherent patentability of the same, to know and use basic patent databases and search engines, to carry out preliminary searches and investigate the state of art and the novelty of possible patents. Finally, it will offer basic tools and practical hints – even displaying best practices and case studies - about how to manage intellectual property rights, how to enforce those rights at international level, which legal and technical tools could be used in order to correctly monitor and verify those rights, how to develop a proper strategy of exploitation and valorization of IP rights through private investors and venture capitals. |
